How do returns work?

✔️ If you change your mind, we’ll collect the car from your home for free
✔️ This applies whether your car was delivered or collected, bought online, or bought in a cinchStore
You’ll get a full refund, including:
✔️ Admin fee
✔️ Delivery or collection fee (if you paid one)

Can I return my car to a cinchStore?
✅ Yes! If you'd prefer to return to a cinchStore, let us know when we get in touch to discuss the return.
What happens to my finance if I return my car?
If you return your car within 14 days:
✔️ We’ll inform the finance provider the car's coming back to us
✔️ Your deposit will be refunded
Important: Although we notify the lender of the return, you’ll still need to cancel the finance agreement directly with your lender.
What happens to my tax if I return?
If decide to return your car and you’ve paid your road tax in full for six or 12 months, here’s what happens:
✔️ Ownership update - once we receive the car and V5C logbook, we notify the DVLA
✔️ Automatic cancellation - road tax doesn’t transfer with the car, so it’s automatically cancelled
✔️ Refund calculation - the DVLA refunds any unused full months (the current month isn’t refunded)
✔️ Refund payment - sent as a cheque to your DVLA‑registered address, usually within six weeks
If you pay monthly by Direct Debit, future payments will be cancelled automatically, but you won’t receive a refund for the current month.
