If your car is written off or stolen, contact AutoTrust as soon as possible:

You must notify AutoTrust:
- within 120 days of the total loss, and
- before accepting a settlement from your car insurance provider
They’ll guide you through the claim and what documents you’ll need.
📅 What happens when my GAP policy ends?
Your cover ends on the end date shown in your policy schedule.
cinch doesn’t currently offer the option to renew GAP insurance.
❌ What’s the cancellation policy?
Within the 30‑day cooling‑off period
You’ll receive a full refund, as long as you haven’t made a successful claim.
The cooling‑off period starts on:
- the policy start date, or
- the day you receive your policy documents (whichever is later)
After the cooling‑off period
You can still cancel anytime.
You’ll receive a pro‑rata refund for the remaining cover, minus an administration fee, in line with the terms and conditions.
