A few days after you get your car, cinch will email you information about GAP insurance and invite you to request a quote. If you haven’t received this email yet, you can:

⏱️ How long do I have to buy it?
You have 100 days from receiving your car to buy GAP insurance.
📆 What is the moratorium period?
There must be a short waiting period between receiving your GAP insurance information and being able to buy the policy. This is to ensure you have enough time to review the details before going ahead.
Here’s how it works:
- Day 1: You receive your quote and policy information.
- Days 2-3: You review the information (you can’t buy yet).
- Day 4: You’re able to buy your GAP policy.
đź’ł How do payments work?
GAP insurance is paid by Direct Debit in 10 interest‑free monthly instalments.
Payments start within 30 days of taking out the policy.
One‑off payments aren’t available at the moment.
🔄 Can I transfer my GAP policy to another car?
No - GAP insurance can’t be transferred to a new vehicle.
If you buy another car from cinch, you may be eligible for a new policy depending on the terms and conditions.
