cinchCharge is operated by our partner Paua who powers the cinchCharge app and connects you to multiple EV charging networks.

When will I get my cinchCharge card?
It’s included with all fully electric cars bought from cinch.
You’ll usually find it:
✔️ In your glovebox
✔️ Or posted to you (in some cases)
Not received it? Request a card and we’ll post it out to you.
How do I activate my cinchCharge card?
Download the cinchCharge app (App Store or Google Play) and follow the setup steps.
You’ll need:
✔️ Car registration number
✔️ Unique card code
✔️ Billing postcode
✔️ Payment card

The EV charger isn’t working. What can I do?
Here are some common issues and quick fixes:
✔️ Check charging schedules – Your car may be set to charge at specific times
✔️ Check dashboard settings – Location-based charging settings can block charging
✔️ Lock your car – Some EVs won’t charge unless locked
✔️ Step away from the car – Unlocking can sometimes stop charging
✔️ Reset your dashboard – This may help the car detect the cable
✔️ Push the cable firmly in – Especially for DC chargers, until it registers
📞 Still not working? Contact the charger provider directly – their number will be shown in the cinchCharge app.
I’m having problems with the cinchCharge app. Who can help me?
✅ If you can access the app:
- Start a chat via the main menu
🔄 If you can’t access the app:
- Try deleting and reinstalling it

How do I find my payment history in the cinchCharge app?
📱 Head to the ‘Past charges’ section.

🚫 No—cinchCharge is only available to customers who buy a fully electric car from cinch.

What do I do if my cinchCharge card is lost, stolen or damaged?
✔️ Freeze your card in the app
✔️ Then request a replacement via ‘Email us’
👉 Replacement fee: £10
I’m returning my cinch car. What should I do with my cinchCharge card?
✔️ Remove your saved payment method in the app
✔️ Return the card with your car (if possible)
♻️ We’ll deactivate your account and securely recycle the card.
I’m selling my cinch car. Can I transfer my cinchCharge card?
🚫 No—the card is personal to you and linked to your account.
✅ If no longer needed:
✔️ Delete the app
✔️ Recycle the card securely
I have a hybrid car. Can I use cinchCharge?
🚫 No—cinchCharge is only for fully electric vehicles.
Do I have to pay for cinchCharge?
No sign-up or subscription fees. You’ll only pay for:
✔️ Your charging sessions
I have two electric cars. Can I use my cinchCharge card on both?
✅ Yes! The card is linked to you, not your car.
Can I change my payment card?
✅ Yes—just go to ‘Wallets and Payments’ in the app.

Can I link my cinchCharge card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?
