How do I return my car?

If you change your mind within 14 days, returning your car is simple.

✔️ We'll collect the car from your home free of charge, or if you prefer, you can return it to one of our cinch Stores
✔️ This applies whether your car was delivered or collected
✔️ This applies to cars purchased online or in a cinch Store
✔️ If you decide to return your car, you'll receive a full refund, including any admin and delivery fee you've paid

If you've arranged finance but decided to return your car within the 14-day money-back guarantee period:

✔️ We'll notify your finance provider that the vehicle is being returned
✔️ Any deposit you've paid will be refunded

⚠️ Important: We'll inform your lender of the return, but we recommend contacting them directly as well to confirm any next steps and ensure your finance agreement is updated correctly.

If you've paid your vehicle tax in full for 6 or 12 months, the process is straightforward:

✔️ We'll notify the DVLA once we've received the vehicle and V5C logbook
✔️ Your vehicle tax will be cancelled automatically, as road tax doesn't transfer with the vehicle
✔️ The DVLA will calculate any refund based on any unused full months remaining
✔️ Your refund will be sent by cheque to your DVLA-registered address, usually within six weeks

If you pay for your vehicle tax by Direct Debit, future payments will be cancelled automatically. However, you won't receive a refund for the current month's payment.
